Mom's Fishing Shows

During a recent Skype, Rhod reminded Dad and I of the many times Mom would be watching fishing shows on television while still living in Powder Springs and express disapproval when the Professional Fishermen would catch large fish and then toss them back into the lake.

I remember one year there was fishing competition sponsored by a local radio/tv station and there was a prize for the onw sho would catch the biggest fish.
Rose packed the whole family and we camped at Lake Lanier so we could wake up early enough to catch heh big fish. We did woke up at around five o'clock and started fishing. We moved several times to try to get a better spot to catch a fish.
Well we did not catch any fish so we ended up at a Trout Pond and Jennn caught several but we had to put back some because we were charged by the pound. Rose cooked those fish and we ate them that night.
We had a grand time.
